Are you living life through screens instead of your senses? Do you ever feel like your body is slowly fossilising into your office chair? Has your comfort zone quietly become… a cage?
Time to leave the city. Time to head south. Out of London, step by step, through ancient woodland and rolling countryside, towards the deep blue sea.
The London to Hastings Survival Race is a two-day, team-based endurance challenge across the Sussex countryside, following old paths, quiet lanes and open country towards the historic town of Hastings.
You’ll meet early in Central London, your phone is sealed away and you climb onto a coach. Once the blindfolds drop, the adventure really starts. Heading to a secret starting point…
From there, it’s up to you and your team to navigate south using only a map and compass, moving through ancient woodland, farmland, valleys and ridgelines. For the next two days, the world narrows to your map, your team, and your own judgment.
You won’t know where the checkpoints are in advance.
They’re revealed one by one as the race unfolds.
At each checkpoint, you’ll face challenges — some physical, some strategic, some lightly absurd.
Crack them and you gain an edge.
Fail them and you fall behind.
This isn’t about speed.
It’s about awareness, teamwork, and staying calm when plans dissolve.
You don’t need to be an athlete.
You do need grit, humour, and a willingness to keep going.
Just back from London to Hastings ’26 and, despite my sore feet saying otherwise, I’ve had the best weekend. Max and his team go above and beyond to make it an unforgettable experience. Expect adventure, fun games, camaraderie, and plenty of laughs. If you’re on the fence, just book it - you won’t regret your decision.

can i actually do this?
Probably, yes.
Since 2025, 850 people have taken on a Wolf Pack race, and most of them are not athletes. Our finishers range from first time campers and people who had never used a compass to a 65 year old.
It’s designed to be a proper challenge. Expect to walk between 30 and 35 miles over two days, carrying your own kit and finding your own way.
You’ll need to do some training, and we’ll help you prepare with a full kit list and guidance, whatever your starting point.
But what gets teams to Hastings is rarely fitness. It’s sticking together, keeping your sense of humour and putting one foot in front of the other.
“We weren’t racing, we were there to finish. If you’re on the fence, book it. If you’re a desk jockey like me, train for carrying the pack, not the miles. And take a good friend or sibling if you have one”

The Route
You’ll travel entirely on foot, navigating by map and compass.
Expect roughly 30-35 miles over two days, taking you through:
Rolling farmland and quiet villages
Pockets of ancient woodland
The green seams of the High Weald
valleys, ridgelines and old trackways
Landscapes that feel a million miles from Zone 1
On Day 2, after miles of forests and fields, you’ll descend toward the coast — hearing the gulls before you see the water.
Your finish line: the sea in Hastings
The Vibe
Think pilgrimage meets adventure race.
Like Duke of Edinburgh but for adults in a perpetual existential crisis. Bear Grylls meets Alan from The Hangover meets Wes Anderson.
A proper challenge, minus the macho, with a touch of analogue beauty.
You’ll laugh.
You’ll ache.
You might swear.
You might cry.
And when you reach the sea, you’ll feel something you haven’t felt in a long time.
This is Wolf Pack.
A medicine for modern life.
A story you’ll tell for years.
The CAMP
By late afternoon on Day 1, you’ll arrive at a peaceful camping spot surrounded by trees and farmland; your base for the night
There'll be:
A shared campfire beneath the trees
Hot drinks through the afternoon, evening and morning: tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and biscuits by the fire
A camp challenge (details classified)
A low-key acoustic set as the light fades
Stories and laughter with the other teams
Toilets and running water
A briefing before you set off on Day 2
Bring your own tent or bivvy, and your own mug. Carry what you need. Sleep under Sussex skies.

TEAMS
Wolf Pack is a team event.
You navigate together, solve challenges together, make questionable decisions together, and finish together.
Teams can be 2–8 people. We recommend 3–6 people for the best mix of navigation, morale, decision-making and snack-based emotional support.
Individual sign-ups are very welcome. We’ll place you in a team with other solo racers — which is often how the best Wolf Pack stories start.
Minimum age: 18+
“A friendly and fun challenge, wonderful to be phone-less for the whole event. Crew were great, music around the campfire was lovely. A good balance of challenge and fun. I thoroughly recommend this event”

WHAT FINISHERS SAY
Rated 5.0 from 37 Google reviews.
"Wasn’t quite sure what we were getting ourselves into but it was a great experience. Navigating the route without phones, meant time to properly talk to people and enjoy the journey, even the moments that were a bit off piste.
Some slightly sore feet but great memories and lots of laughs along the way!"
— Alexandra G
"Had an amazing time, London to Hastings, incredibly good fun and loved every second of it”
— Toby F
"This could actually change your life. You'll go further than you thought possible. You'll say ‘I'm never doing this again’, and then the day after, ‘when are we going again?’. Just do it. If I can, so can you"
— Gareth D

good to know
Tickets are non-refundable, but you can transfer your place to someone else up to 10 days before the race. Just email us their details so we can set up their registration and tracking.
Can’t make it after that? If you need to withdraw in the final 10 days, let us know before the race starts and we’ll give you 50% off a future Wolf Pack race ticket, valid for 12 months.
If we cancel. If Wolf Pack has to cancel the race before it starts, you can choose a full refund, a place on a rescheduled date, or credit for another Wolf Pack race.
Weather. Wolf Pack is designed to go ahead in rough weather. Rain, mud, wind, discomfort and general British nonsense are all part of the adventure. But this is not bravado for the sake of it. If conditions become genuinely unsafe, we may shorten, adapt, reroute or delay the race at the Race Director’s discretion.
The campfire. Rain or shine, there’ll be a campfire. We bring dry wood and prepare for all weathers. Only a genuine safety reason, such as a fire ban or dangerous winds, would stop it.
Filming. This race may be filmed and photographed, and you may appear in the footage. If you would strongly prefer not to, let us know and we’ll do our best to keep you out of it.
Pocket money. This is a no-phone, no-money event, with one exception. You may carry up to £10 for a pick-me-up along the way.
